Sexy sterling silver bracelets and lush leather bracelets too!
With multiple work parties, family gatherings, and get-togethers with friends this holiday season it may seem daunting to keep coming up with different outfits to wear to each one.
All you really need, though, is a great LBD (little black dress) or white shirt and great pants. The secret to changing up these classic looks this season is to change your accessories! Let’s have some fun with this season’s hottest accessory, the brooch!
You may be thinking that brooches are something your grandma wore. And you’re exactly right! You may also be thinking that you’re too young to wear one. That’s where you’re wrong. Brooches are a classic piece of jewelry that come in infinite styles to suit all tastes. You can go classy with pearls and cameos or for a more trendy look with crystals and modern, abstract shapes.
Adding a different brooch to a top or dress can completely change your look while only costing a small price. Try clustering a few small brooches just over your heart or even around your neckline. Or add a large one to a scarf wrapped around your waist or skip the scarf and pin it just above your hip bone for an unexpected twist to your outfit. This looks exceptionally chic on a wrap shirt or dress.
A great website with just about every shape, size and style of brooch(including the ones seen here) is . Not only do they have a brooch for everyone (or two or three) they also have excellent prices! Who could pass up ones for just $24 each!
So as you see those invitations come in the mail each day, you don’t worry about what you’re going to wear. Just make sure you have enough brooches!

Am so glad to see the brooch make a comeback. My girls love jewelry and these are great gift ideas. Who needs the mall when I have sites like this! LOL
The thing about broaches is they’re so diverse? They totally alter an outfit and almost always they’re a fun conversation piece.
So why am I chicken to wear one? I’ve got several that belonged to my mother and grandmother…and the vintage appeal never goes out of style (imho).
Maybe you’ve given me motive to throw caution to the wind…thanks
.
Happy Thanksgiving! Did you know I can’t say the word “broooooch” without giggling? What a wonky word! Brooches, smooches, hooches….see…just not a good rhymin’ path there!
Oh I love old vintage broochs! I got quite a stash myself (to go with all of my scarfs of course)
Yes, they’re “Mad Men” approved too, aren’t they?
I love jewelry and brooches are not actually at the top of my list but I like giving them as gifts. I also have a small collection of brooches given by close friends which I have worn one time or another. They make a simple dress look elegant and a plain top look fantastic. Vintage ones are the best as they never go out of style.
Michelle Obama has been wearing some beautiful brooches-started me looking through my jewelry chest for some I used to wear long ago.
What a great and inexpensive fashion accessory. I’m thrilled to see the brooch making a comeback.
Oh, Vintage brooches are one of my favorite accessories.
Of course, I don’t care for ANY piece of jewelry unless it has a classic or vintage twist.
I’m happy to see this comeback! Thanks for the heads up; mustn’t be out of style!
Hello webmaster , I just read your blog post about holiday dresses it seems a very good recopilation from internet articles as wikipedia as other related holiday dresses books. Congrats on your blog, I dugged and stumble today Saturday due to the great post about holiday dresses . Cheers Andy Colleman.
The brooch is a great button replacement too. I had to go to this business event once and I had my outfit washed and ironed. Unfortunately, when it was time to wear it, I didn’t realize the top button was lost. I was freaking out. Then I got an idea, I closed the top button with a brooch. It worked perfectly!
