Say goodbye to mini skirts and leg-exposing short shorts for now as this year’s yuletide season calls for a more practical yet still glamorous look for your lower torso: long skirts! Whether your style is more of sexy knee length or totally dramatic ankle-sweeping ones, long skirts are definitely fun and fashionable with a twist. You can pair them with almost any top, depending on the look you are gunning for. Rely on your inner style goddess to make any outfit combination work and to bring out the utmost glam in you!

Check out this gray buttoned pencil skirt from the collection of Graeme Black, a British designer. It has a relatively simple design which makes it easy to pair with tops of all various styles and colors. The black buttons make for bonus accent.

If gray makes you yawn and you want more drama, then you can wear something like this skirt off Oscar de la Renta’s collection.

Coming in black with printed gold and red designs, this skirt is definitely an attention-grabber and perfect for your Christmas parties or that special Christmas date. ;)

I’m not really long-legged so I don’t think long skirts would work for me. If you are kind of short, like me (I’m 5’2″ in case you’re wondering), short skirts and dresses are the way to go. Show some legs and it will elongate you. Showing a lot of legs would give out the impression that you have a lot of legs to show, meaning, that you are tall. That’s what you call MAGIC! ;-)
