We love Ashlee Simpson and all her strange choice of earrings. We’ve spotted some great accessories she wore before including the wooden heart earrings below. We know she’s been into some little career slump in the past including the lip-syncing disaster on Saturday Night Live. That definitely is not the topic here today but let me tell you just how she looks great below and chide her a bit on what we think about the overall package.

Ashley was seen last Tuesday to having attended Decades Denim’s launching party at Beverly Hills, California. She arrived in the scene with a pretty black dress, a nice black super high stiletto heels. It looks perfectly fine on her and we sincerely think that she was decked out pretty well during that night “except” that a little bit hideous shoulder duster earrings.

We know it’s Chanel but we know it didn’t agree well on her beautiful outfit during that night. I think the color is a little heavy and it pushes people’s attention crashing on her big dangling earrings.

Sad.

Given the shape of her face, I think she was better off with wearing just simple pea earrings or similar to the ones she wore below at the “Runaway” premiere at the Harmony Gold Preview House last month (minutes the helix/cartilage piercing). I think she’s gorgeous!

Wearing black dress (or anything dark) and don’t know what kind of earrings to pair it with? Try either wearing anything within the color gradient of silver or diamond but make sure that it’s as conspicuous as possible and its length complements well to the shape of your face and length of neck. Silver and diamond loves every skin color so no more hair pulling episode on that.
