At the 2008 Paris Fashion Week, there wasn’t a single Parisian beret in site, and yet Hermes‘ ready to wear line clearly suggested that hats will be back in 2009. From coy sun hats to true ten gallon cowboy hats, the heads of the Hermes models (and of the designer himself) were well covered to say the least. While we don’t recommend wearing multiple fringed, heeled, studded and tanned pieces at once, a well-shaped neutral hat could make a very strong statement paired with some of next season’s other, more conservative trends. This famed hat maker offers collections ranging from rodeo queen to classic cowboy to contemporary chic. While the Hermes ready to wear line was giving an homage to the Wild West, Alexander McQueen was just plain going wild. Half the collection was earthy colors, rich textures, and nature-inspired prints while the other half was pure space kitsch with bold metallic fabrics, geometric shapes, and striking graphic separates. You can get a more casual version of these looks early and for less at MissSixty, where their latest line features flattering 3/4 length dresses and fitted tees in graphic prints plus a few less-than-ordinary shaped skirts and metallic jackets.

The pocohontas skirt really works. But I need to hit the gym first to have toned legs to go with this really expensive outfit.
