Barbie has team up with Stila Cosmetics to create a collection in honor of her 50th birthday.Stila will launch a new version of its talking palette ($40), it will include tips on how to create an barbie inspired look.The limited edition Barbie Loves Stila collection is available exclusively at Sephora.Barbie loves Stila Collection with feature four Decades of Beauty cans priced at $40.

Four Decades of Beauty cans are:

(1) Foxy Barbie , which depicts the African-American Barbie launched in 1980. It includes a Lip Glaze called Foxy, mascara and a compact with two eye shadows and a cheek color.

(2) Ponytail Barbie , celebrates the first Barbie, launched in 1959. It includes a red lipstick called Ponytail, a liquid eyeliner and a three-pan paper-wrapped compact with two eye shadows and a cheek color.

(3) Malibu Barbie , which highlights the doll of the same name that launched in 1971. It includes has a pale pink Lip Glaze called Malibu, a black mascara and a compact with two eye shadows and a bronzer.

(4) Jewel Barbie , is based on the 2000 Barbie of the same name.It includes a bright pink Lip Glaze called Jewel, a Multi-Effect Mascara and a compact with two eye shadows and a cheek color

Stila Cosmetics will be the sponsor of Barbie first runway show at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week in February.Famed designer Vera Wang along with fifty other designers will drape models in barbie inspired fashions.The lead makeup artist for the run way show will be Charlotte Tilbury.

Stephen Sprouse first wowed audiences with the Day-Glo collection in the early eighties, the designer passed away in March of 2004 from lung cancer however, his legacy still remains intact. In honor of Stephen Sprouse’s collection of work, Louis Vuitton and Deitch Project hosted launch parties simultaneously. Popular runway model Molly Sims and designer Marc Jacobs were just some of the few to come out and show support. While Stephen Sprouse didn’t originate Gay-Glo, he did however, make it his own. The colors were daring and eye-popping, a rarity for fashion back then.

Eighties “It” girls Debby Harry, Madonna, and Paige Powel sported Sprouse’s Day-Glo and helped the line become one of the most sought after collections in the fashion industry.

With spring heading right around the corner make a statement with some of these funky pieces.The first item is designed by “Queen of Fashion in Copenhagen”,Malene Birger . Whether it be lounging at the beach or on the go, make a statement with this high heeled 30182 Camey Shoe. Another one of Birger’s standouts is the 29747 Jiva bejeweled necklace, perfect for the everyday chic.

Though she’s only twenty years old, the Philadelphia native has already created a pretty impressive resume for herself. She’s walked in shows for Baby Phat, L.A.M.B, and Imitation of Christ, signed a fragrance contract with Calvin Klein One in 2005, and appeared on the pages of numerous magazines such as Vibe, V magazine, and Harper’s Bazaar. Sessilee Lopez got her big break when she was signed on to IMG models. Shortly thereafter Sessliee moved to the big apple to pursue a modeling career full time.

Choosing photos of Sessliee was the most difficult, and if you’ve seen her collection of work you’d know why, but what caught my eye is her spread in Vogue Italia’s “Black” Issue. Lopez appeared alongside the mag with prominent fashion models Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, and Jourdan Dunn.

Sessilee Lopez is currently signed on with Major Model Management, and just finished shooting a commercial for CK One. The commercial for the fragrance will launch nationwide on January 20th. This month Estée Lauder released their new 2009 spring collection called Fuchsia Now.The collection was inspired by fuchsia, the “it color” that a lot of designers were using in their runway shows for spring.The Fuchsia Now collection is vibrant and playful, bursting with warm feminine color combinations.It follows the trend of wearing bold and neutral makeup colors together.Fuchsia Now pairs vibrant peach and honey colors with fuchsia for a look that flatters almost any skin tone.I must say that I love the Fuchsia Now’s color palette.I like the fact that you can use the limited edition Fleur de Lys shimmer powder colors either together or separately.Items in the Fuchsia Now collection range in price between $18-$33.50 at Estee Lauder.I do however, have one gripe about the shimmer powder- it’s a little too pretty, I wouldn’t want to use it. My biggest fear would be messing up the pattern. Read below for more information on the Fuchsia Now collection.

The hot new jewelry trend that filled the Spring/Summer 2009 runway shows?  Statement jewelry.  The runways of Giambattista Valli, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Chanel, Roberto Cavalli, and many more were filled with models wearing ornate and exotic necklaces, chunky bangles and elegant cuff bracelets.  This type of look is one you can easily bring to your wardrobe!

On the left is a necklace from Giambattista Valli’s 2009 Spring collection.  Gorgeous, isn’t it?  Yet I doubt many people would have an occasion to wear such an elaborate piece.  A statement necklace like the one on the right by Bounkit for Vivre can give the same strong effect and fits right in with the trend.

The statement necklace above isn’t exactly inexpensive (it normally sells for close to $1000), but it goes without saying that a piece like this is well worth the money.  Imagine how much mileage you would get out of a necklace like this during the spring and summer this year!

The bracelets seen on the runway were made of all sorts of materials.  Traditional gold and silver is, of course, always in style.  But the bold, chunky bangles and cuffs were also offered in more exotic materials–anything from enamel to wood to wool and much more was fair game.

You can find some great options for adding a style statement to your wrists this spring and summer–and the choices are pretty much endless.  Go with designer pieces like those above if you like, or go vintage and stack some Bakelite bangles on.  Try a lacy cuff or a couple of colorful chunky bracelets.  Here are a few good sources for finding some new pieces for this season:
