Musicians are no strangers to clothing lines-especially hip hop stars, and with the music industry at all time low it’s no wonder why some are trading in their pen and paper for a thread and sewing machine. The latest duo to emerge on the fashion scene is none other than Virgina based rap group The Clipse. The group is most known for their partnership with Grammy award winning producer Pharrell Williams.Williams produced The Clipse’s signature hit ‘Grindin’, released back in 2004. With a new album set to be released early of next year, the group has announced the launch of their clothing line entitled “Play Cloths”. The urban apparel will be released in select boutiques and targets to fans of collectibles-think AC/DC.
“It’s based around the idea of when cloths were collectibles,” Pusha said of the brand, which fuses urban and rock-influenced styles. “It represents youth and influence.”
Items featured in Play Clothes include: t-shirts, jackets, and caps. Fore more information on the line visit PlayCloths.com.
